First 10 Picks of 2022
2021 was shitty, here's our first ten picks to start 2022 off right. Escape into different realities, fall in love with incredible characters, and dream of elaborate worlds by diving into our top 10 picks of 2022!
Hi, I'm Jess, a shameless bibliophile with an ever growing library of books I am constantly trying to catch up on. I decide my next reads based off of shelves on our multiple... multiple book cases. I cycle through one book per shelf. Each shelf has a (semi) designated genre. I used this same method to pick my first ten books of 2022. Calculated, I know, but it's a system I have grown to love. I love reading scintillating biographies that makes me feel like I truly knew that historical figure, then move right into a dazzling fantasies enveloping myself in addictive worlds I can only dream of. It keeps reading exciting and ever changing.
Flip here, definitely rely more on the property of entropy and randomness to decide my next book choices. What do I need to learn? What relates to my life? What just sounds friggen awesome! Throw a heavy hardcover at me and I'll probably read it. My first ten picks of the year are a mix of books to further my career, and exciting reads that sadly, I just did not get to in 2021.
"It is the most fundamental thing I know about being alive: Everything that lasts is invention followed by tenacious faith.”―Alexander Maksik- Shelter in Place (Top Pick of 2021)
